In its first ten years, Hats For Hope contributed nearly $465,000 to the fight against breast cancer and gave 100% of last year’s proceeds to Louisville’s James Graham Brown Cancer Center. We appreciate the generosity of our many donors and sponsors, who have supported us with both financial and in-kind donations over the years.
There are a number of ways to support Hats for Hope:
Our goal is to auction two hundred fashionably fabulous hats – new or gently worn. “Gently Worn” means free of stains, tears, and dust. Plain hats are acceptable since some ladies do prefer that style, but please note that we may embellish some plain hats. We regret that we cannot accept vintage or winter hats, as it has been our experience that neither are popular at our Derby-themed event.
Silent Auction Packages
Our ‘non-hat’ packages typically consist of items of jewelry, event tickets, vacation packages, artwork, and gift certificates for merchandise, to local restaurants, and for services such as spas.
If you would like to help us achieve our goal by donating a Derby hat or package or package item, you can drop them off with Linda Dame or Terri Clark at the University of Louisville; The Arthur H. Kenney House; 132 East Gray Street; Louisville, KY 40202. If you have questions, you can reach Linda at 502-852-7111 or Terri at 502-852-8910.
You may contact Teddy Andriot at 502-244-2900 to arrange pick-up.
If you don’t have a hat or a non-hat item to donate and would still like to make a contribution, Hats For Hope accepts cash donations. Please send a check payable to: James Graham Brown Cancer, with Hats For Hope on the “memo” line to University Advancement, The Arthur Kenney House, 132 East Gray Street; Louisville, KY 40202, Attention: Terri Clark or Linda Dame.
Non-anonymous donors will receive an official receipt from the James Graham Brown Cancer Center that can be used for tax related purposes. A printable donation receipt form will be made available for your convenience. Thank you for your support!
