Hats for Hope is a silent auction of Derby hats, as well as other items and packages including jewelry, gift certificates, trips and more! The event celebrates survivorship, friendship, fun and fashion – with 100% of event proceeds benefitting the fight against Breast Cancer. Over the last eight years, Hats for Hope has raised approximately $350,000 towards the fight against Breast Cancer. Learn more about this year’s event!
We are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with the James Graham Brown Cancer Center – a partnership which will allow us to continue our focus on the fight against Breast Cancer, while having a more direct and immediate impact on the lives of the women who are battling the disease. This year’s proceeds will go directly to support the Brown Cancer Resource Center.
The Resource Center was created to help patients and their families cope with cancer by providing education, counseling and services. Proceeds from this year’s Hats for Hope will fund items such as camisoles, prosthetics and wigs, as well as gas cards and hotel vouchers so breast cancer patients and their families can more easily get back and forth to Louisville for chemo and radiation treatments. Dollars raised by Hats for Hope will also help fund salaries for a social worker, data assistant and nurse for the Resource Center.
